Segovia day trip from Madrid
Explore Segovia in one day from Madrid, from the Roman Aqueduct to the Alcázar, with squares and Castilian food along the way. Plan your train from Chamartín and the transfer from Guiomar before choosing your visits.
Why visit Segovia on a day trip?
Choose Segovia for a walk connecting the Aqueduct, central squares and the Alcázar. Decide beforehand whether to enter the Cathedral or castle, and allow time for a meal and the return to Guiomar.
The walk, at a glance: Acueducto → Casa de los Picos → Plaza de San Martín → Plaza Mayor → Catedral → Alcázar.
A city with history
The Roman Aqueduct sets the scene for this walk. Further on, the old town reveals its medieval heritage, Jewish quarter and Alcázar. The old city and its Aqueduct have been a World Heritage Site since 1985. This walk connects those chapters through the centre.
