Which airport transport fits your hotel?
The metro serves T1 and T2; the train departs from T2; Aerobús uses A1 and A2 for the two terminals. Check which stop works for your accommodation. If you prefer an address-to-address journey, consider an official taxi or a prebooked transfer with clear terms.
Airport to hotel: compare the whole journey

T1 or T2: check before buying
Use current flight information to confirm your terminal. Do not assume one because you are flying from the United States: your airline or connection can change the plan. Aena provides a free, 24-hour shuttle between T1 and T2. Allow for waiting, the transfer and reaching your next platform or stop.
T-casual at the airport: the transport mode matters
The T-casual restriction applies to Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 on the L9 Sud metro. It does not mean that the ticket is barred from every airport transport service. ATM distinguishes metro, Rodalies trains and integrated buses; Aerobús has its own ticket. Check validity for the complete journey before paying.
Plan arrival and the return flight
- Save your full accommodation address and confirm how to enter if you arrive late.
- Count from the arrivals exit after border checks and baggage collection. A train or bus journey time is not a landing-to-hotel estimate.
- Compare tickets for everyone traveling and any onward connection. Keep costs in euros when checking your home-currency budget; a conversion is only a reference.
- For a late arrival, check the last service and current disruptions. A 24-hour Aerobús service does not guarantee an onward hotel connection.
- For departure, confirm the terminal with your airline and the correct boarding stop. Allow the time your flight requires rather than simply reversing the arrival plan.
Arriving after a flight from the U.S.

Does the airport metro go directly to Plaça Catalunya?
L9 Sud does not serve Plaça Catalunya. Use TMB’s journey planner to choose the connection for your actual address.
Can I take the train after landing at T1?
The train departs from T2. You can use Aena’s free interterminal shuttle; include that step when comparing other options.
How much does it cost to reach my hotel?
It depends on transport, ticket, party size and the final connection. Check current operator fares and add up the complete journey. This guide does not quote a universal taxi fare.
Does GidePass include airport transport tickets?
No. This guide is free and transport tickets are purchased separately from the operator. GidePass Barcelona is still in preparation.
